Writing story

In writing we have been doing narrative writing were we created a fiction story. I haven't finished, I am hoping that I can finish in in the holidays. 
Her is my story so far.  
Chapter 1
Mr. Puss
and
The Guardian  

Was it a crash that really woke me, or was it that dragon I have been seeing around the palace? I thought of calling Mr. Puss or if I should just go back to sleep. But I decided to wake up Queen Cleara my mistress so I got out of my kitty bed and jumped onto Clara's bed and started meowing and meowing “get of Princess Annabel I’m sleeping” Clara said so I jumped off her bed and went to the window the moment I go up I thought I had seen a tall long shadow creeping into the woods. When I looked at the car it was demolished flated squashed never to see the road again. I jumped down of the window and trotted down stairs to the ball room and I saw the butler Mr.puss standing in the middle of the room and not moving eyes fixed on the open door and the demolished flated squashed never to see the road again car. I walked to Mr.Puss and gave him a polite shove but he didn't budge so shoved him a little harder still no movement. A gush of cold air brushed my whiskers I shivered I went to go and close the door but it wouldn't budge either what was I going to do.
“I know what you can do”
“w-w-who a-a-are y-y-you”
“I am your Guardian”
“My what”
“Your guardian”  “And as I was saying” I know what you can do”
“Well are you going to tell me or not kind sir”
“Well if you dont want me to then I don’t have to”
by this time I was getting a little annoyed
“I WANT TO KNOW”
“OK OK no need to get angry“
“sorry, so are you going to tell me”
“Yes”
“thank you”
“so the thing that you can do is bring a table and put it in front of Mr. Puss so he will snap out of the trance that he is in”
“He’s in a trance?”
“Yes, do I have to put all the dots together”
While my guardian was talking to himself I was looking for a table but don’t forget that I can’t see my gardien so it was fairly easy to ignore him. I finally found a tea table, and with some trouble I placed it in front of Mr. Puss I waited for a moment but nothing happened
“Nothing is happening”
“Just wait” My guarding said, with the tiniest hint of frustration in his creaky voice.
I waited of course,  and suddenly Mr,Puss gasped and fell over “Mr.Puss”! I cried, are you ok!  Mr.Puss was breathing really rapidly
and seemed to be asleep but his eyelids was flickering and slowly beginning to open “Mr.Puss, it’s me Princess Annabel.







Chapter 2
What Had Happened?

When Mr.Puss woke up he looked at me like I was some kind of ghost
“What's wrong Mr.Puss you looked surprised to see me”
“No dear I’m fine I seemed to have fainted”
“You didn’t faint, you were in a trance”
Mr. Puss looked thoughtful like he was in another world, Where there was no bad things no sadness.
“Mr.Puss, Mr.Puss”
“What, Oh its you Annabel”
“you need to go to bed”
“ Ok, but before I go You need to know that the dragon was holding the Emerald eye”
“Oh no the emerald eye is the most powerful thing in the Enchanted Forest”
“now do you understand why I was so worried. so I opened the door and  that dragon was running across the yard he turned and saw me I looked in to his hypnotic eyes and thats all I can remember”
“That emerald eye is the power of the forest and if it’s goes out of the barrier then the forest will be to weak to stop the wizards from taking magic”
“Go to bed, you need rest, I will see what I can do”
“Thank you Annabel” He said with a sigh that ragg in in my ears That sigh was was gave me the confidence to go and get the emerald eye back”

Zeminar and His Plan

Far away outside the Enchanted Forest Zeminar was going over his plan to capture Annabelle and tell Clara that if he wants to see her cat ever again she has to give him the power to control the Emerald Eye. When Monstro came back with the Stone he would be unstoppable when he finds out how to use it of course. Life hadn't gone very well 1st his mum died and then his dad left him and then well he became evil and he swore that he will have revenge on the world and all on it.


Chapter 3
The plan of Attack

I went to my secret room where I have lots and lots of TV screens that show all the places in the enchanted forest I also have one of those floating 3D maps that are green. All this is what I made and only for 3 people me,myself and I and no one else. Not even Mr. Puss knows. I have 3 cameras outside the Enchanted forest 2 in the mountains of Ever-day where the good dragons live and 1 in the mountains of Ever-night were all the bad dragons live the reason there is only one in the mountains on Ever-night is that only 1 spy could get in but couldn't get out, thats when I stopped sending spies out.The 3D map was shimmering like a small creek that flows along small pebbles. Everything was quiet to quiet the screens showed a bluray shadow in the mountains of Ever-night Marago the leader of the mortify (the band of bad Dragons) came out and spoke to the shadow.

In P.E. we have been doing ball skills like Padder tennis, gutter bored and T- ball. My favorite was Padder Tennis I player with Asher Paige and Amber It was so funny because at first we were really bad at it but in the end we could keep a game going for a minute.

Sustainable Art

In art time we have been making things out of recycled stuff like plastic bottles, tin cans, bottle tops, and a lot others. Me and my buddy Amber did a bird house. I did the frame and cut the bucket and she did some of the gluing. The chain and frame I found in my garden and the bottle tops is from class.

Narrative Writing

This term we have been doing Narrative writing. So far we have done  a octopus story that we had to recreate a the last part of the story and we had to make a wanted poster about 2 cowboy brothers that steal a ruby and started a fight over it and jump of a moving train into a riven for it . A quick narrative story that is made out of 6 sentences. This is my short story its about a hamster called Asher (A-sh-er). This is a story that we get the first sentences on a website and create a story.

Chapter 1
Mr. Puss
and
 My Guardian

“Well that dragon smashed the car and that woke me up”
“Me too”
“well I wanted to see what had happened so I went down stairs and  saw that the door was open the car flattened and the emerald eye gone”
“Oh no the emerald eye is the most powerful the in the Enchanted Forest”
“now do you understand why I was so worried. so I opened the door and  that dragon was running across the yard he turned and saw me I looked in to his hypnotic eyes and that's all I can remember, what I remember that he hate the emerald eye in one long disgusting revolting hands.”

“That emerald eye is the power of the forest and if it’s goes out of the barrier then the forest will be to weak to stop the wizards from taking magic”

Maths, Reading & Visualisation

In reading we have been working on our comprehension strategies.  Last week we focused on visualization - they way we can create mental images when we read to deepen our understanding of the text.  We read a short passage that explained how to measure a very tall object without having to climb it and we visualized how we would do this.

Yesterday we went out and put this knowledge in playground to practice. Paige and I me measured the fire pole on the playground. To do this you have to hold a pencil at a arms lengths away from your face and walk backward till your pencil is making the height of the thing you are measuring and then get a friend to stand at the base of the thing you are measuring. then you tern your pence on its side and then tell your friend to step side step till they are inline with the end if the pence then tell them to FREEZE. Then measure the length of the distance between them the the thing you are measuring. The length of the pole was 6.27m but we got 7.45m, so we were a wee bit out!!! Ha ha

Economics

In inquiry we have explored the basic economic problem. The problem is that humans have unlimited wants and our resources are limited. So because our resources are limited we need to work out what to produce to satisfy our wants. Economics is really all about choices and decisions!

The market ends up having to put a price on things that are limited, if you really want them you have to pay for them. If the resource is unlimited it is usually free or the price is quite low.

Reading: Newspapers

In reading we have been learning all about newspapers. I have been using a recent copy of 'The Dominion Post' to look at all the things that a newspaper contains.

I have learnt that comic strip isn't always funny - it sometimes has an important message or meaning.

We made a news paper story on www.fodey.com, mine is "Exotic Animal of the Month". My news paper is called The Pet Press.

'The Giver'- Reflection

What is the value of  memory in The Giver? Why dose the community need it preserved?
The value of memory in The Giver  is very very high it respected so much  that there is a very really chosen as a job. The reason the community preserve the memory's and not destroyed them altogether is if the elders didn't know what to do then they would go  to the Receiver (that holds all the memories). That they the can ask what had happened in the past and so they can know what to do in the future.

Persuasive Writing


Animals should be kept in zoos


Zoos, yes those  magical places that you can see amazing animals with miraculous cots and fantastic sounds and environments. Animals that you can’t normally see because they are from other places in the world like India and Africa or from the wild. We truly should keep animals in zoos! I have to be truthful and say that there are some negative things to keeping animals in zoos; but some of these reasons aren't always true.
 
Education is extremely important, “yes”,it truly is us especially. Just imagine a kid that wants to be a vet that works with wild animals but hasn't even seen a lion in real life. But if you have zoos they can go and see wild animals. Not only the kids can learn about the animals but vets in training can also study the environment of the animals.


Animals there life safety and their emotional safety, animals are  like us they are just as much threatened by us than we are of them. They have to keep one eye open when they sleep because there might be a pocher lurking, creeping up on them to kill them for their fur all just for the want of money, MONEY,...can you believe it? Just image the endangered white tiger shot and killed for his or her FUR!!!! (sigh).


Life is the most important thing in… well, life. Most people (animals)have allergies, disabilities and diseases. Without medication these things can be life threatening. But how do they make medicine, where does it come from...well there is one thing that is extremely necessary, that thing is research!!!!! why ,it is necessary because if you don’t  then you might be throwing things together that can be poisonous for the animal. But if you research then you will know what to put into the medicine and the easiest way to research animals is in zoos because then you don't have to go into the wild and track the animals yourself.

So I think that animals should be kept in zoos for research. Endangered animals like the white tiger should also  be kept in zoos.  kids  safety and education in essential as well the love of animals are strong in life. We wouldn't be able to live without them they are essential,yes, they are vital.The life will be pretty boring without zoos,yes zoos.

Inquiry Reflection

I have learnt about cerebral palsy  for the past team. This is some thing that I did as my week three homework

What is Cerebral Palsy (CP)?
How does it challenge the human machine?

What do I already know?
  • It is something that makes your limbs stiff
  • It is called Cerebral  Palsy
  • It needs to have specially therapy
  • Cerebral palsy occurs as the result of damage to specific areas of the brain and the lack of oxygen
What do I want to know?
  • Is it contagious?
  • how old do you have to be to get  Cerebral Palsy?
  • Can it be cured?
  • what does CP mean?
  • How often does it occur ?
What have I learnt?
Cerebral Palsy is not contagious.
You mostly get Cerebral palsy when you are 0-3 years because of brain damage.
Cerebral Palsy can’t be cured but therapy can help people to get better at certain skills.
CP is the short meaning of  Cerebral Palsy.
About 2-3 children out of every 1,000 born has CP.

We have been learning about explanation writing for the past 4 weeks. Here is my explanation writing:


The Endocrine System


Even though we don't think about the endocrine system it doesn't mean it is not there. Have you ever thought that your growth is all managed by a small muscle in the back of  your neck?


The Endocrine system is a little muscle in the back of your neck, the endocrine system refers to the collection of glands of an organism that secrete hormones directly into the circulatory system, to be carried toward a distant target organs.


The endocrine system works like this:When hormone levels reach a certain amount, the endocrine system helps the body to keep that level of hormone in the blood. For example, if the thyroid gland has received the right amount of thyroid hormones into the blood, the pituitary gland senses the normal level of thyroid hormone in the bloodstream.


All of the glands in endocrine system produce different types of hormones that recall a specific response in other cells,tissues or origin. The hormones reach the faraway target using the bloodstream. Like the nervous system.


The Endocrine system is one the body’s main communication system. So the Endocrine system is very busy all day and night.
